It’s Gudi Padwa in Maharashtra, and the stars too celebrated it with a lot of tradition and splendour. Kajol wished her husband Ajay Devgn whose birthday too coincided with the festival, “Gudi Padwa neet bol gadhwa! To which Ajay responded, “Happy birthday to bol de.” 

Mumbai gal Shraddha Kapoor whose mom Shivangi is a Maharashtrian, wore a traditional yellow and purple sari with matching bangles. She too conveyed her heartiest wishes in Marathi.

Actor turned homemaker Sameera Reddy along with her adorable kids and gorgeous husband too celebrated the festival with a lot of pomp, show and fervour.

Incidentally, today is also Ugadi in the South, Chethi Chand for Sindhis , Kashmiri New Year Chaitra Sukhladi Navreh and Manipur New Year Sajibu Cheiraoba.
