Stardust extends its best wishes for a speedy recovery to the legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar for her recent hospitalization in the ICU at Breach Candy Hospital. India’s nightingale is expected to be there for 10-12 days due to her age. She contracted covid and pneumonia and great precaution is being taken. As per her sister Usha Mangeshkar, even the family is not allowed to visit because of covid but good care is being taken by the staff at Breach Candy. Mangeshkar was hospitalized Jan 1 with Dr. Pratit Samdani handling the case. Her condition is stable.
The chanteuse has shined in the limelight since her teenage years. She made it to the Guinness Book of Records in 1974 for singing over 25 000 songs at that time. She has also been known to refuse to accept physical awards because she had won so many and space was limited in her home. The prodigy has done playback singing for innumerable actresses.
