He is an extremely talented actor currently living in Mumbai, but he was born and raised in New York. He has starred in over 15 Indian feature films, many of which have been big studio films, box office hits and award winning which include ‘Neerja’, ‘The Tashkent Files’, ‘6-5=2’, ‘Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi’, ‘Issaq’, ‘Irada’, ‘Identity Card’ amongst others. He has also acted in short films ‘Lonely By The Bay’ and ‘Tu’ and in webseries like Hotstars ‘Special Ops’. His international film ‘A New Christmas’ has opened up new avenues internationally for him and indeed, it’s a good time for actor, digital content creator, social media influencer, and writer, Prashantt Guptha.

So what’s new with him? Prashantt says, “I am (semi) moving back to NYC. Let me explain what I mean by ‘semi.’ It means I am settling my wife and kids in NY and I will be living and working between both US and Mumbai. This decision was taken in October 2021 and we wanted to wait to reveal it. Obviously a thousand thoughts have gone into it. Overall, my kids will go to school in NY and my wife will work there. As for me, my career is not only expanding in Bollywood but opportunities seem to be growing in the US too, after ‘A New Christmas’. I shall continue acting, writing, producing and being an entrepreneur. As nervous as I am, kind of starting new beginnings, I feel right about it.”

Indeed, things have been looking up for Prashantt. “Yes,” says he, “This May, I have a commercial releasing with Salman Khan, and a huge webseries with Prakash Jha called ‘Aashram’ releasing in June. My international film ‘A New Christmas’ too may release in India. And as we speak, I’m producing a show too, writing a novel, and looking for a great talent agent/manager in the US.
