US-based actor, writer, director and producer Bud Patel needs no introduction. His stellar performance in the film ‘A Curry on an American Plate’ on Youtube, and other short films, has made him a name to be reckoned with in the world of cinema.

Incidentally, he was the producer and the lead actor in ‘A Curry on an American Plate’ which was officially selected at the 2018 Hoboken International Film Festival and also the 2018 NIFF International Film Festival in Houston. Plus, Bud has acted in over 150 plus dramas and 50 plus short films and music videos in several languages including Hindi, English, Gujarati, Marathi, and Bengali. He has also done various stage shows in Mumbai, Houston, and Toronto, Canada.

Currently, Bud is very excited about his latest short film ‘Dilemma’, which is based on the issues faced by Indians living in the US who are coping with the loss of a loved one. 

“The film is not based on anyone’s real-life incident but I am sure people must have faced this kind of ‘Dilemma’ during Covid of losing a loved one. To cope with this with a spouse or family member or dear one, is very much needed,” says Bud.

So what makes him so passionate about making or acting in films? Aren’t there too many challenges to it?   “When you are passionate about your work, every difficulty becomes a challenge and ultimately, hard work pays.” Sums up Bud Patel.
