Is Colors Bigg Boss Biased?

You are currently viewing Is Colors Bigg Boss Biased?

If not, why is Umar Riaz not one of the finalists? And why Is a Color’s face being projected as a probable winner?

They say it’s not scripted yet, it sure looks like the channel enjoys manipulating the reality show to get a winner of their choice. This trend was seen rather clearly in Bigg Boss 12, when a Colors face Dipika Kakar became the winner. The narrative was clear – S Sreesanth – the controversial cricketer would be the runners up, Deepak Thakhur being this boy from a village that was deluged by floods would get the brief case of money and Colors channel would even be hailed as the channel that cares.  Of course, deserving contestants like Romil Chaudhary who was even hailed as the ‘Janta winner’  and trended on twitter was side-lined as a finalist.

Siddharth Shukla

Bigg Boss 13 and 14 – perhaps followed the same trend. But the winners, the gorgeous Sidharth Shukla and Rubina Dilaik were strong, much deserving and clearly winners, so not much was said about “bias” and “manipulation”.

Rubina Diliak

But Bigg Boss 15 has not only taken the entire cake but also the bakery in bias. From the beginning,   there were whispers about  Shamita Shetty entering the house and being treated “privileged”. The channel continuously highlighted the love angle between Colors face Tejasswi Prakash and Karan Kundra while better players including Umar Riaz, Nishant and Prateek were and are side-lined.

Shamita Shetty

There was physical violence galore. Simba pushed Umar Riaz into the pool – Colors snipped that scene rather conveniently. Prateek and Karan Kundra got into a tussle and Karan Kundra tackled him and threw him down. Violence? Naah! Shamita pushed Rakhi Sawant and Rakhi even complained to Bigg Boss that she had operations done on her boobs and Shamita’s push hurt a lot. Violence? Not at all! Prateek and Umar got into a fight and Umar pushed him down. “Violence” screamed Bigg Boss –  Bigg Boss had suddenly developed a conscience and screamed via host Salman Khan that a “doctor (Umar is a doctor by profession) can’t be so violent”, and evicted him out of the house.

The indications were clear. Umar who was hugely popular – he was called ‘Janta ka winner and was and is trending on twitter – was perhaps proving to be dangerous and a threat so he was thrown out.

Karan & Tejasswi

Currently, it’s clear… the entire focus seems to be on Tejasswi  and Karan, and the channel seems to be creating a reluctant triangle with Shamita… obviously, these three are going to be the top three.  So it sure looks as if another channel face will be the winner again so in reality, the winner will be the channel itself.  Hmm… wonder why they call Bigg Boss a reality show?
