French hair and make-up expert Florian Hurel, who recently styled actress Tamannah at the Cannes Film Festival, says that the actress was the perfect muse. “A wonderful exposure to express my creativity as an artist and who better than the flawless Tamannah. All the looks were different and creative. I loved creating the double-winged liner in her a lot,” he says.

Talking about the process of styling, he says, “Depending on the silhouette the artist will be wearing. It’s the ideal way to respect each other and bring out the best work in the right way,” he says.

Florian comes with a large experience of hair and make up styling and was always interested in it from childhood. “Since the age of 13, I have been watching my uncle styling hair.  Beauty industry was where I wanted to belong. For me, Beauty means empowering yourself,” he says.

Ask him if there is an area where people always go wrong, and he says, “Going overboard with the highlighter is something I will never follow as an ongoing trend. Less is more. Keep it minimal and chic. There are three things which are a must in any make up kit – a good hydrating lipstick, a moisturiser and a mascara.”

Talking about his favourites in the industry, he says, “Kangana Ranaut is the best when it comes to pulling off statement eyes. Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan according to me do complete justice to carrying red lips.”

The hair and make up expert adds that social media today is a great tool to understand what is trending. “What better than social media to stay updated with everything trending,” he says.
