Nimrat Kaur has grabbed everyone’s attention with her Dasvi trailer. Ever since the trailer of the social comedy has hit the internet, fans have been going gaga over the versatile actress’ impressive physical transformation and command on the Haryanvi dialect.

While talking about her process of getting into the skin of her character, Nimrat said, “It was for the first time that I had to train myself in a different dialect for a project. It was even more challenging for me because I speak fluent Punjabi, which is very close to Haryanvi yet very different. So, I had to make sure it didn’t come off as Punjabi dialect.”

“I took diction lessons before on the floors to have command over the language and thus look more convincing on the screen. Apart from that, I used to listen to my own voice notes day in and out. It became a habit to hear those notes while brushing my teeth, making breakfast, practically doing anything,” she added.

Nimrat Kaur trained under the teacher who had worked on Dangal and Atrangi Re earlier. Over the years, the industry has witnessed Haryanva-based blockbuster dramas, including Highway and Tanu Weds Manu Returns.

Starring alongside Abhishek Bachchan and Yami Gautam, Nimrat Kaur will essay the role of a jailed politician’s wife turned Chief Minister. Dasvi will have an OTT release on 7th April.
