“Paid PR and herd mentality is hurting Bollywood,” says Karan Johar

Let’s accept it… Bollywood films except for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 have flopped one after the other rather badly. While Kangana Ranaut’s film Dhaakad had to be taken off the theatres because of poor footfalls, the man who supposedly was the Midas of the box office, Akshay Kumar’s Samrat Prithvi fared no better. On the other hand, South films like Pushpa: The Rise, KGF: Chapter 2, RRR, Vikram have done stupendous business and in fact, have fared amazingly well even in the North belt. So what exactly is wrong with Bollywood?

Bollywood’s super producer Karan Johar insists that Bollywood ails because of paid PR and a herd mentality while South films don’t seek validation.

Hmm… Well said KJo… but  we’d like to point out just one teeny weeny point… doesn’t most of the paid PR come from his stable… Just asking?
