This international Day, check out the very inspiring  Ab Mujhe Udnaa Hai which released on the Short  Kuts YoutubeChannel. Directed by the talented Sujoy Mukherjee, it has won 39 awards including the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award in the short film category. 

“Women safety is paramount and I wanted to inspire the affected and their families that such mishaps are not the end of life and can be overcome,” says Sujoy. 

Just for the record, in the penal laws of all countries , sexual offences against women occupy a significant place . According to the National Crime records, 86% of women don’t feel safe in cities. 

With a star cast including Kanwaljit Singh, MahaakshayChakraborty, Shreyas Pardiwalla,Pooja Yagnik and Jasmine Grover, the film highlights the conventional mindset of society whereby when an attempt to rape or molestation is often dealt with a lesser punishment than an actual rape. The movie sends out a strong message of change of mindset and to embrace the concept of Women Empowerment.
