Producer Binaiferr Kohli is ecstatic as her show Happu Ki Ultan Paltan completes 800 episodes. Talking about crossing such an eminent milestone, the producer says that the feeling is incredible. “I feel great at the completion of 800 episodes of Happu Ki Ultan Paltan. This was a spin-off that came from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain and it feels absolutely wonderful to see it doing well,” she says.’ I am so proud of my team – the channel and TV, my creatives, cast and crew who are my working family and who work so hard and relentlessly. They are my actual awards.”
The comedy sitcom has been loved for its slice-of-life element that not many shows can boast of on the small screen. Binaiferr says that this is what motivates people to watch the show. “What connects the show to the audience is the innocence, sweetness, flavours of life of a complete family. From a dadi, to a son, a bahu… the nok-jhok between a mother-in-law and a daughter-in-law, the relationship between the son and the mother, a grandmother and children, parents and the children and now the wife’s sister and Happu’s best friend,” she says. Also, the storyline is very realistic and relatable and this has also helped them grab eyeballs, says Binaiferr, adding, “There are so many unique angles in the show. And also, so many relatable angles and sweet moments that are part of every family’s life.” Producer duo Sanjay and Binaiferr Kohli under their production house EDIT II have always made fantastic shows and are known for clean comedy shows.
