Social media has been abuzz with news of breakups including the latest with ‘Dhan’waryaa – actor Dhanush and his wife Aishwarya, Rajnikant’s eldest daughter. Tensions had been stirring for awhile now as the couple ended their 18 year old marriage. While fans sniffed out the information well beforehand, it was only apt that our ‘Atrangi Re’ Dhanush should tweet regarding the couple’s privacy in handling the situation first. After all, they also have two boys to consider including Yatra who is 15 and Linga who is 11.

Adding to this fire is another divorce that hit the storm simultaneously. Nitish Bharadwaj, aka Krishna from B.R. Chopra’s Mahabharat announced his parting with his IAS wife Smita after 12 years. The couple has twin daughters who are with their mother in Indore. Bharadwaj was previously married to Monisha Patil. The star has a son and daughter from this marriage as well. This marriage ended in 2005.

Another news that just broke out hot from the filmi oven is that supposedly Chiranjeevi’s daughter Shreeja too has dropped her husband’s name from her Instagram handle, fuelling separation rumours.

Most of the celebs are using social media to announce their separation instead of fielding embarrassing questions from the media. Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, in fact, did the same earlier on with Aamir’s social media post announcing to fans that the couple had decided to part.
