Indian Americans as well as people from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka residing in the US have a special connection with this iconic personality who has touched their lives through her melodious voice.

Many local singers paid tribute to Lata ji by singing her songs from ‘Gujara Hua Zamana.., Aap Ki Nazaroon Ne Samjha, and several other popular songs of Lata didi.

Riya, a young Indian American born in the US, fell in love with Lata didi when she heard her grandmother sing Lata Mangeskar’s songs especially’ Kuhukuhu bole koyaliya’.

Sunil Hali, the owner of Radio Zindagi, organized this tribute to the Nightingale of India at the Royal Albert Palace in New Jersey. Radio Zindagi has a wide coverage from the East Coast all the way to the West Coast. They are spread all over the tri-state area, San Francisco, San Jose, DC & Virginia.
