Ayushmann Khurrana was recently seen giving fans a behind-the-scenes peek on what went into making the film Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui a sleeper hit. One of them was captioned ‘Vanity mein Maalish’. And it’s no wonder that he would require such a massage. The film depicts all those ‘sweaty’ workout scenes at the gym after all. So it’s little wonder how much the actor would have had to work out to convey an authenticity in the performance.
The film, which deals with a transgender protagonist as one of its main leads, has now made it to the OTT Global Top 5 list for over 53 lakh hours of viewership within 3 days of its release on an OTT. It is the only film from India to have done so and is also the only non-English speaking film to have made it on this list at this time.

The film is ranked as no 1 for Netflix in India and many other countries. As a path-breaking film, it has also garnered the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Award 2022 for being the First Zero Waste Film of Bollywood in acknowledgement of the zero waste policy that producer Pragya Kapoor had instated while the film was getting made. Kudos to the team.
